We've always been big fans of local sake. We feel that its presence in our city has greatly impacted sake's overall popularity, and for the better. We've been lucky to visit some of our favorite breweries in Japan but for most people in New York their first whiff of fresh sake kasu is from Brooklyn Kura or Kato Sake Works. In Brooklyn, curious drinkers can visit the breweries, meet the brewers and taste very fresh sake.
When we first started this conversation about a private label with our friends at Brooklyn Kura, we knew we wanted to showcase an everyday sake. One that could be widely enjoyed, paired with most food and offered at a reasonable price. It tastes like a Brooklyn Kura sake, it has their signature vibrance and fruity aroma, but this bottle finishes dry and crisp, ready to convert wine drinkers and beer drinkers alike.
