Some words from our distributor: Watari Bune is the name of the rice used to make this sake. The brewery revived this rice strain in the 1990’s after it had been extinct for sixty years. It took them three years before they had enough rice to brew their first batch of sake. 

Watari Bune #55 "Junmai Ginjo"

Junmai Ginjo  / Huchu Homare, Ibaraki

The experience: Serve chilled! This is a big sake -- not in funkiness and viscosity, but in flavor and texture. Think white burgundy-big. Aromatic and bright with a fuller body and crisp finish. Bright white peaches & ripe melon notes. 

Process: Sokujo (fast brew!)

Ingredients: 55% polished Watari Bune rice, association #9 yeast, water, koji

Storage: store in a cool, dark place

Shipping & Delivery

shipping outside of NYC is calculated through a common carrier at checkout! (monthly subscriptions are the only exception) orders go out every Thursday unless stated otherwise

please note: we can only ship sake & wine outside of new york state (whisky or other spirits are excluded)

delivery is available for all of NYC at check out for $10! Wednesday-Friday only. orders must be placed before 1:30pm for same day delivery, otherwise you can plan for the next working day.

Free In-Store Pickup:
The quickest, easiest way to get your bottles! Your subscription will be available for pick up on the first Thursday of every month. Please use the code "FREECLUBPICKUP" or follow this link.
Shipping: 
Shipping east of the Mississippi River will cost a flat rate of $25. West of the river costs $35. Boxes are sent out the first week of the month.  We currently do not ship to the following states: ND, NH, UT, MS, AL, VT, KY, SD. As statutory laws are constantly changing, please note that this list is updated frequently. Bottles ship the first week of every month! Please let us know if you need us to hold your package.
Delivery:
$10 NYC delivery! Bottles will go out on the first Thursday of the month. Please use the code "10DOLLARNYCDELIVERY" at checkout or follow this link.
Please reach out if you won't be home to receive your order, we can pick a different date together. Somebody 21+ NEEDS to be home to sign for the bottles. If you'd like to pick up one month, let us know before the first of the month and we'll make sure you aren't charged for delivery.
