Eigashima Shuzo distills this malted barley based whisky in Hyogo.

The delicious addition of ume plums and rock sugar infuses this whisky for six months to a year before being filtered. We've tasted a lot of more traditional sake-based & shochu-based umeshu, but this whisky based umeshu is a first. Its sweetness is present but it doesn't veil the bite from the whisky itself. Try this on the rocks or with some sparkling water as a refreshing highball.
